Industrifonden invests SEK9m in Sweden’s Anyfi Networks

Industrifonden is investing SEK9m (£851,032) in Anyfi Networks, a company developing a technology for wireless Wi-Fi networks that allows users to access their home networks from anywhere.

The current owner of the Malmö, Sweden-based company is also participating in a new share issue, which totals SEK10m. The money will be used for expansion and marketing.

The technology is said to give mobile operators the opportunity to offload data traffic from mobile networks onto Wi-Fi networks and allow broadband operators to utilise the spare capacity in their Wi-Fi networks to produce mobile broadband.
