Sirenza releases new power amplifier ICs

Sirenza Microdevices, a designer and supplier of radio frequency components for communications equipment manufacturers, announced today the product release of the SZA-5044 and STA-6033 power amplifier ICs.

Sirenza Microdevices, a designer and supplier of high-performance radio frequency (RF) components for communications equipment manufacturers, announced today the product release of the SZA-5044 and STA-6033 power amplifier ICs.

Each multi-stage amplifier is said to operate over the 4.9GHz to 5.9GHz band and includes integrated features such as bias control and power detection required for WLAN and WiMAX transmitter ICs.

The SZA-5044 delivers a Pout equal to 22dBm at 3%EVM and 28dB gain while operating from a +5V supply at 310mA. The STA-6033 is targeted for 3.3V applications and delivers a Pout equal to 18dBm at 3%EVM and 27dB gain at a supply current of 210mA.

Both the SZA-5044 and the STA-6033 are available now and are offered in low cost, surface mount QFN packages. Application design support and samples are available by contacting Sirenza.
