Danish wind turbine developer, Vestas has received an order for 25 V80-1.8 MW wind turbines. The wind turbines will be installed in the first quarter of 2005 on Copper Mountain located in Murdochville, Québec, Canada.

The wind turbines are part of an expansion phase of a project, where Vestas has already installed five V80-1.8 MW wind turbines that have been in commercial operation since May this year.

The wind power plant will be owned by Mount Copper Wind Power Energy, which is jointly controlled by Creststreet Power & Income Fund of Toronto, Ontario and 3Ci of St. Bruno, Québec.

When the 25 wind turbines are completed and operational, they will join the five currently operating wind turbines to generate a total of 54 MW. The total project has a value to Vestas of approximately 55 million Euros.
