Clyde Process Solutions has been awarded a £1.8m order by one of North America’s leading providers of food ingredients and sugar products.

Clyde Process Solutions (CPS) has been awarded a £1.8m order by one of North America’s leading providers of food ingredients and sugar products.

Additional work under this order could net the Doncaster-based provider of material handling solutions a further £110,000.

CPS’s operating subsidiaries, MAC Equipment (MAC) and Clyde Materials Handling (CMH), have worked together to provide the unnamed customer with a series of pneumatic conveying solutions that will be installed on one of its major US production facilities.

The customer is seeking to install a range of pneumatic conveying systems capable of transporting sugar to numerous locations within its production facility. The collaborative efforts of MAC and CMH have won the order for the group to supply the pneumatic conveying systems, as well as the process controls and project management required to meet the customer’s requirements.

Commenting on this new order, Alex Stewart, chief executive of Clyde Process Solutions, said: ‘We are delighted to secure this £1.8m order with one North America’s leading providers of food ingredients, which will enable it to operate a continuous, reliable production process delivering higher levels of output.’

He added: ‘This order is the largest collaborative contract secured by the group in North America, with MAC and CMH working strongly together to help deliver a series of energy efficient, environmentally enhancing pneumatic conveying solutions. The food industry in North America continues to be a profitable source of revenue, which has seen this order secured with healthy levels of contribution and is in line with management expectations.’
