Chelmsford-based e2v has teamed up with Component Distributors (CDI) to provide e2v’s gas sensors to the central, northern and southern regions of America.

CDI is a Colorado-based, employee owned enterprise that stocks power solutions, RF and microwave, and sensing solutions products. The company also provides an Application Engineering Network (AEN) service that offers technical support during the design phase of projects.

As a specialist developer and manufacturer of gas sensors, e2v has achieved high product reliability through its technical expertise.

It is hoped that the customer service structure of CDI, combined with the high standard of products produced by e2v will prove a successful partnership in the expanding gas sensors market.

Robert Calabrese, senior vice-president of sales for e2v, said: ‘This is a great fit for both companies. Integrating CDI’s expert design services and utilising its supply channels will help market our gas sensing products.

‘As the gas sensor market continues to grow, this strategic partnership has the unique capability to provide technically superior products from e2v with unbeatable customer service and integration from CDI. This, in my opinion, is the best of both worlds.’
