Network Rail chooses Carillion for infrastructure projects

Network Rail has chosen Carillion as one the contractors to deliver infrastructure services under a £750m multi-asset framework agreement.

Carillion will be delivering services for 19 projects worth £250m in north-east London, including the East Coast Mainline and the Midland Mainline.

The services include plans to improve line speed between London and Sheffield, and to upgrade track for wide freight trains.

Design work has started and all projects are expected to be completed by 2016.
