John Craig Contracting (JCC), a small Stirlingshire-based recycling solutions provider, recently landed two contracts worth a total of £300,000 with the help of start-up advisory, Business Gateway.
The first contract, awarded by Stirling Council, saw JCC provide a customised mobile recycling solution for the landfill site at Lower Polmaise.
The system, which was designed, manufactured and installed by the firm, became operational in March this year and has allowed the council to recycle at maximum efficiency.
The second business win saw JCC design, manufacture and install a 24-man twin picking station system for A&M Smith Skip Hire in Aberdeen, with four magnets over the conveyor belt and twin blower system. JCC was also awarded the contract for ensuring compatibility with existing plant and coordination of the set-up for the new recycling centre.
