As regular visitors to our website will know our stories frequently stimulate heated and intelligent debate on some of the biggest issues affecting industry.

Often, as these discussions develop, we’ve noticed many readers asking for more detail, asking to be put in touch with a particular project leader, or simply engaging in debate and conversation.

It’s clear to us that Engineer readers share a healthy appetite for discussion which is why we’re delighted to announced the launch of our new forum site.  Designed to enhance, not replace, our already lively comment streams, we believe this new feature will give you even greater opportunities to talk to each other, exchange ideas and advice or simply chew the fat on whatever engineering issue concerns you.

We’ve started a few debates on some perennially thorny issues to kick things off, but please feel free to start your own discussions on any engineering related theme. We hope you’ll agree that this is a useful new feature.

If you already have a login for The Engineer website you can use your existing details to sign in to the forums. Otherwise, you’ll need to take a couple of minutes to set up a free account. To do this, simply click on the “Register” tab at the top of this page
