Henkel has produced a new brochure and introduced a dedicated web site that show how adhesives, sealants and automatic dispensing equipment can help engineers meet the challenges of designing and maintaining electric motors for today’s markets.
‘Engineers have to meet a wide variety of different demands,’ says Colin Chapman, Marketing Manager at Henkel, manufacturer of Loctite brand products. ‘But Henkel’s adhesive and sealing technologies enable them to meet the most challenging specifications when it comes to electric motors.’
Both the brochure and interactive website show how Loctite products can be employed tasks such as retaining, magnet bonding, flange sealing, threadlocking, threadsealing, tacking, wire reinforcement and potting. Relevant product details make the selection of the right adhesive or sealant very easy.
Also included are technical data sheets, information about application equipment and details of the various specialist back up services that are available, such as on-site training, support and the unique ‘tear down’ exercise. This initiative uses the principle of “Reverse Engineering” to identify enhancement potentials. It includes the joint dismantling of selected goods to detect simplification opportunities, a joint analysis which leads to new design and manufacturing solutions through adhesive technologies and the coordinated transfer of the findings into production.
‘The brochure and website provide invaluable assistance to anyone involved with the design and production of electric motors,’ reports Colin Chapman. ‘Engineers will readily see how adhesives, sealants and equipment make the manufacture of state of the art electric motors faster and easier.’
The web site can be found at www.loctite-emotors.com, while the brochure is available from Henkel Limited. Technologies House, Wood Lane End, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire HP2 4RQ; Telephone: 01442 27800, or Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
