Markem-Imaje changes to IPA

Marking and coding company Markem-Imaje has taken on a new challeng to replace the methanol currently used as denaturant in its alcohol-based inks with isopropanol (IPA).

Marking and coding company Markem-Imaje has taken on a new challenge to replace the methanol currently used as denaturant in its alcohol-based inks with isopropanol (IPA). IPA improves operator safety and contributes to increased environmental protection, providing customers greener, cleaner and safer products. Changing to IPA has no effect on ink stability in the printer, ink drying time or marking quality and does not require any technical intervention whatsoever.
