In a move designed to provide customers with greener, cleaner, safer products, the company has set out to replace the methanol currently used as a denaturant in alcohol-based inks with isopropanol. The use of IPA will improve operator safety and will not impact the overall printing process, with no consequences on ink stability, drying time or marking quality. Consumables product manager Aurelie Weber says the move is the “fine art of finding the right balance between technical, economical and environmental performances and constraints”.
