Manufacturing faces a number of challenges if it is to stay competitive in a commercially sensitive world. Mitsubishi, a world leader in automation will give a number of half-day presentations identifying technologies and trends that will be vital in these changing markets.

There are two seminars streams available: Manufacturing Technologies – looking at essential technologies and solutions available both now and in the future; Energy – considering practical strategies for the low carbon environment.

The events take place at seven locations up and down the country and are open to engineers and consultants working in both manufacturing and building automation. They would also be useful to companies providing engineered solutions or automation based OEM products. There is no charge for attendance, but delegates should pre-register by emailing or calling Caroline Stanton on 01707 278802.

Keynote sessions on the day will identify commercial issues and opportunities for successful business development in automation and manufacturing. They will identify key aspects of technology and control, such as forthcoming regulations, product trends and emerging technologies.

Later there will be parallel sessions, one coverings technology trends the other practical approaches to energy issues.

The technology strand will look at new opportunities for reducing engineering costs and improving control flexibility; next generation machine solutions; Manufacturing Execution Systems MES; Operational Equipment Efficiency OEE; and reducing manufacturing/operational costs.
