Modern Water receives Chinese orders for toxicity monitors

UK-based technology company Modern Water has announced sales orders from China for 25 of its Cymtox Continuous Toxicity Monitor (CTM) units.

This represents a boost for the group’s newly established MW Monitoring division that includes the Cymtox technology and the recently acquired Cogent Environmental business.

Since 2005, Chinese government policy has stated that automated water-quality monitoring systems, providing real-time data, should be installed next to all possible polluting sources.

The Cymtox CTM is designed to protect water supplies from deliberate or accidental contamination through real-time online monitoring of thousands of toxic compounds, by detecting sudden contamination in surface and ground waters from wastewater inflows.
