New appointments push Lorien forward

The ongoing expansion of Midlands-based engineering design and project management company, Lorien Engineering Solutions has been boosted with three new appointments.

New building design engineer Roger Davis comes to Lorien from Pirelli Tyres Ltd where he was a building surveyor. He has also worked for ICI Pharmaceuticals and Wedgwood Ltd.

During his career Roger has also worked for the Department of the Environment as a building and civil engineering technician and for Unilever Research and Development as a contract civil and building project manager.

Originally from Nigeria, Kenneth Ndubisi has been appointed Project Engineer for Process and Utilities. He has previously worked for Nigerian Breweries Plc for ten years.

Whilst with the company he held the posts of utilities manager, mechanical installations manager and maintenance and packaging engineer. In these roles he was heavily involved with projects for Anheuser Busch, Walkers Snack foods and Reckitt Benckiser.

Lorien’s third appointment, John Wortley, has been recruited as senior packaging engineer. He is a highly knowledgeable engineer having studied Electro-Mechanical Engineering at University College Swansea. After graduating he went on to work for companies such as SASIB Beverage Ltd, Simplimatic Engineering Ltd and Perkins Engineers.

John has acquired a great deal of experience in the food, drink and brewing sectors having worked on projects for companies such as Britvic Soft Drinks, Watson’s Dairies, Greene King and Carlsberg as well as through his work overseas for SNIBEG in Italy.

These appointments coincide with Lorien’s plans for expansion into China, Russia and the emerging countries of Eastern Europe, with the help of its international brewing partner, Mott MacDonald. The company’s clients include InBev UK, Efes Breweries International, Walkers Snack Foods and Reckitt Benckiser.

Working for many of the world’s top manufacturing organisations within the UK and overseas, Lorien Engineering Solutions was recently presented with the Order of Distinction for occupational health and safety in the construction by RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) after winning 15 consecutive Gold awards.
