Easy, Hygienic and Reliable – The New DrugCheck Drug Testing Kit From Draeger Safety
Easy and quick to use, the new non-invasive Draeger DrugCheck Drug Testing Kit enables the simultaneous, qualitative detection of up to six classes of illegal substances in a single sample of oral fluid. Suitable for use by anyone, at any time and in any environment, the test indicates the substance levels that can be found in the oral fluid at that time. As studies have shown that positive oral fluid samples and positive blood samples correspond in 95% of cases, this means that the test provides an immediate result which can be used for screening purposes.
Difficult to adulterate and ideal for probable cause or random workplace testing applications, the kit can also be used for pre-employment screening and post incident investigations, as well as testing contractors and/or agency staff prior to site entry. In addition, it meets the requirements for random testing in drug treatment clinics and refuge and care homes, as well as in prisons and probation establishments, and can be used for random testing in schools and universities.
Highly sensitive and able to detect the presence of Cocaine (COC), Opiates (OPI), Amphetamines (AMP), Methamphetamines (MET), Phencyclidine (PCP) and Cannabinoids within just 10 minutes, before they revert to their respective metabolites. In addition, immunochemical detection of ?9 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive component in marijuana, hashish and hashish oil, reacts with a particularly high level of sensitivity.
Comprising an oral fluid sampler, test tube and test strip, the DrugCheck Kit is both reliable and hygienic and provides a clear, accurate result which, if contested for example, could then be sent to a laboratory for confirmation analysis.
Individually and hygienically packed, the oral fluid collection sampler is placed into the mouth before being inserted into a collection tube fitted with an extraction device. Clipped into place automatically to ensure drip-free disposal, this device squeezes out the sample.
The sampler can then be removed from the tube together with the extraction device. At this stage, the test strip is removed from its sealed packaging, placed into the tube and the test results can be viewed.
Testing for limit value concentrations (cut-off values) of 20ng/ml for COC, 40 for OPI, 50 for AMP, MET and THC, and 10 for PCP, the result clearly indicates if one or all drugs are detected.
Designed to eliminate the problems often associated with invasive testing such as “shy bladder syndrome”, whilst reducing embarrassment and allowing precise control of the sampling process, this self-contained testing kit also minimises the risk of tampering. As a result, it helps to establish a basis of trust between the user and the person under test.
