New occupational standards

OSCEng, the Occupational Standards Council for Engineering, has released a new set of occupational standards for engineering designed for those working at N/SVQ Levels 4 and 5 (typically graduate and post graduate level). The new standards are presented as 55 Elements, each of which describes the blend of skills, knowledge and understanding that the engineer requires. Unlike the previous standards, the new OSCEng standards provide statements of `What you must be able to do’ and `Specific’ and `Underpinning knowledge you need’.
