BMW uses DADS for valve train design

BMW has implemented CADSI’s DADS simulation software for analysis of complex dynamic behaviour of engine valve trains. A detailed understanding of engine operations, including the dynamic lift of the valves, is required to meet increased demands for efficiency and lower emission levels of internal combustion engines. BMW says it selected DADS because of its support of flexible components, link with controls, and hydraulics.
