Fife based pallet manufacturer Scott Timber has acquired Combine Pallets in London in a deal that will see its annual turnover rise from £20 million to over £32 million.
‘Currently 70% of our business is in England so the acquisition of Combine gives us further strength within this market,’ said John Scott, Managing Director of Scott Timber.
The Combine deal provides Scott Timber with two additional sites in London and two in Wales, and will see staff numbers increase from 180 to over 400.
With operations in Burton-On-Trent and Kent plus three sites in Scotland, Scott Timber’s acquisition makes it the first pan-European group offering a comprehensive pallet making service.
The deal also means the group now takes on Combine’s UK license to manufacture EU standardised pallet sizes which are favoured by exporters and will help drive the company’s future expansion into Europe.
