Dr Andy Low is the new managing director of Racal Research. Low, an electrical sciences graduate with a PhD in optoelectronics, was previously MD of Siemens Environmental Systems and (before that) Roke Manor Research. He also chaired the defence and aerospace Foresight working party on sensors and sensor systems, and Racal hopes that he will position the company as the R & D partner of choice for government agencies, industries and universities.
Rockwell’s director from within
Joe Lupone, who has been with Rockwell since 1987, is the company’s new sales director for the UK. Lupone, an engineering graduate from Michigan State University, will be responsible for control system sales and support organisations in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East.
Serck Heat Transfer, manufacturer and supplier of ECG units and heat exchangers, has given Matthew Stonehouse the job of design engineering manager in its Exhaust Gas Cooling Division. Stonehouse holds an HNC in production/mechanical engineering and has completed a technical apprenticeship at Dunlop Aviation.
