Polymer reliable at high temperatures

Farnell has added a new engineering polymer to its industrial catalogue. Torlon provides high stiffness and strength at elevated temperatures, making it ideal for applications often considered too demanding for thermoplastics.

Torlon also exhibits good dimensional stability and excellent chemical and radiation resistance. It maintains its strength under continuous exposure to high temperatures between 230 C and 260 C, with an operating temperature that extends down to -190 C.
