Mi Services Group has developed a web-based solution, which automates the realtime exchange of purchasing, delivery and inventory between the manufacturer, its suppliers and partners.
The solution automates the realtime exchange of status information and enables the purchasing across an entire enterprise to be consolidated through a single web-based application. Building on experience in implementing SAP and Oracle e-business and ERP applications for large manufacturing concerns, Mi Sevices has developed its own technology in response to an identified lack of proven off-the-shelf e-procurement solutions.
All purchasing and supply chain status information is held centrally and can be accessed through the Internet. The system apparently provides robust interfaces to all commonly used ERP modules. Enhanced by online access, the system can also acquire up-to-date corporate information such as pricing and technical documentation.
A feature, known as vendor managed inventory (VMI), lets approved suppliers access inventory information, query stock levels, replenish supplies, request purchase order numbers and update inventory status. As an online portal, the Mi Services system can provide suppliers and partners with critical real-time information in a paperless manner.
