Aylesbury-based Red Rhino Crushers has been selected as a finalist for the Green Apple Environmental Awards.
Red Rhino manufactures compact, mobile crushers which recycle rubble, recycle concrete, and reduce waste materials into a reusable and valuable aggregate one.
Results will be announced at a ceremony held at the House of Commons in November and winners will have the chance to represent the UK in the European Business Awards in Brussels.
Red Rhino will also be invited to join National Green Heroes, an international group of organisations which use their experience to help others introduce environmental practices.
The Green Apple Awards are organized by The Green Organisation, an independent, not-for-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world by supporting the work of other environmental groups. The awards are now in their fourteenth year and attracted more than 500 nominations this year.
The Green Organisation is funded by membership and sponsorship, with support from the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, the Municipal Journal and several other professional bodies.
