RPS acquires WTW for £1.85m

Abingdon-based international land and resources consultancy RPS Group has acquired WTW, a business providing technical services in support of oil and gas exploration projects.

WTW, headquartered in Liphook, Hampshire, provides geological and engineering consultancy services to major oil and gas companies on an international basis. The business will be integrated with RPS Energy, to complement its work in the Middle East and for national oil companies.

RPS is acquiring the entire share capital of WTW, for a total cash consideration of £1.85m.

Alan Hearne, CEO of RPS said: ‘Despite its relatively small size WTW has an excellent reputation. Access to RPS’s additional resources and expertise will enable it to enhance the service it offers its clients and grow into the next stage of its development.’
