Schroff lends CPCI users a helping hand

A typical 6U CPCI board has extraction forces acting on the backplane and subrack of close to 500N. The extraction of boards from such systems can cause enormous stresses on the handles being used to remove a CPCI plug-in unit. For that reason, Schroff has developed a new handle, the HLS, which uses a patented moving pivot that alters the pivot point of the lever to make the insertion and extraction of a CPCI board easier.Schroff’s High Leverage Self-locking handle is suitable for the insertion and extraction of all 19″ plug-in units.
