Science and engineering systems and services company Science Applications has been awarded a contract by USG Nevada, a subsidiary of renewable energy company US Geothermal, to provide engineering, procurement and construction services for phase one of the San Emidio project − the construction of a geothermal power plant in north-west Nevada.
The contract has a 15-month period of performance and a contract value of more than $22m (£14m).
Work will be performed by Science Applications’ wholly owned design-build subsidiary The Benham Companies.
Science Applications is also providing a project loan for phase-one construction costs.
