Sensorless flux vector drives shrink in size

HID has launched the smallest sensorless flux vector inverter yet from Hitachi. The SJ100 is more than 50% smaller than its predecessor, the J100 already the smallest in its class.

The SJ100 provides starting torque of 200% or more. The drive also has advanced features such as auto tuning to set motor constants; second motor setting; PID control as standard; 16-stage multi-speed operation; and inrush current protection built in.

Other useful features include the ability to select just the functions you need from the function set, and the ability to select fan ‘on’ or ‘off’ to give longer cooling fan life.

The SJ100 is available in 0.2kW to 2.2kW single phase and 0.4kW to 4.0kW three phase.
