Sensors discriminate colour on objects

If you want to determine a precise colour resolution, or discriminate between colours on objects, check out the UZF6 colour detection sensor from Matsushita.

The sensor employs three LEDs – red, green and blue – to fire three separate colour beams at the object, then resolves the returned beam into RGB components. A simple press-button set-up system tunes the sensor to recognise the target colour.

UZF6 sensors are available in standard, high precision, fine spot and long range versions.
