SES expands in north east

SES, the York headquartered building services solutions company, is set to recruit seven new members of staff following an increase in contract wins.

The appointments are across a range of positions and include four apprentices. They form part of an ongoing programme of growth planned for the north east office which has been in operation since 2003.

According to operations director Steve Joyce, SES’s north east office has created around 80 jobs since it opened and is on track to create a further 30 during 2008/9 as turnover continues to grow from this year’s £16m to an anticipated £20m.

He said: ‘As we continue to win work across a number of sectors such as education, pharmaceutical and leisure, to maintain the high level of service delivery our clients have come to expect we need to recruit experienced people. To address the ongoing skills shortage within the construction industry, it is in everyone’s best interests for us to continue with our very successful apprenticeship scheme.’
