Siemens Business Services wins IT outsourcing order

KSB AG, Frankenthal, has awarded Siemens Business Services an order worth 50 million euros for the provision of IT services.

KSB AG, Frankenthal, has awarded Siemens Business Services (SBS) an order worth 50 million euros for the provision of IT services.

The order runs for several years, during which time SBS will support and operate KSB’s hardware and software.

KSB has around 12.800 employees and is internationally active as a manufacturer of pumps and equipment for industrial applications.

Under the terms of the agreement, SBS will provide support for 28 KSB sites in Germany and France, including the company headquarter in Frankenthal.

SBS will take over responsibility for the operating system BS2000 as well as for SAP/R3 and other commercial software and run them in its own data centres.

SBS will also provide support in the event of software problems and run the KSB telecommunications systems, as well as guaranteeing desktop services at KSB.
