Snap decision

Snap-on Diagnostics has selected contract manufacturer PartnerTech to provide printed circuit board assembly, sub-system build and test services across its range of gas analyser and emissions products.

Snap-On’s team in King’s Lynn, Norfolk needed an outsourcing partner to help meet the 48-hour order-to-delivery schedule for its emissions products.

These include the DGA 2500 Diagnostic Gas Analyser and Emissions platform and accessories, which are marketed under the Sun Diagnostics brand name.

The DGA 2500 is a PC-based emissions tester which provides vehicle workshops with an expandable tool which is Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) approved for UK MoT emissions testing and comes as standard with wireless RPM and oil temperature measurement capability.

Trevor Wootton, purchasing manager at Snap-on Diagnostics, said: ‘By partnering with one of Europe’s largest contract manufacturers, we have been able to streamline our own supply chain, reduce inventory and better manage the inevitable peaks and troughs in our sales cycle. It has also allowed us to focus our in-house resources on new product development, sales, marketing, and, importantly, to better support our customers.’
