Sterling Fluid Systems has won an order worth $5 million to supply Sterling Halberg vertical mixed flow pumps to a major natural gas extraction company in Indonesia. The three pumps will be used on Proyek Pemanfaatan Gas Permia’s new pumping installation, which is being built for the process of gas liquefaction. This is a process which involves the pumping of large quantities of cooling (sea) water, with each Sterling pump having a flow rate of 14,700m3. The pumps are to be installed in the LNG plant in Bontang, East Kalimantan, Indonesia during 1998.
