Maxon Motor has introduced the EC 4 brushless micromotor and gearhead for applications such as micropumps, analytic and diagnostic devices, ophthalmic surgical devices, laboratory robots and endoscopes.

Integrated encoders make it possible to fully utilise the motor potential from a standstill.

High-performance ceramics are used for the gearhead carrier to make the motor capable of high input speeds and drive torques.

The device is suitable for use with the miniature ESCO 36/3 brushless motor controller.
