Permabond Engineering Adhesives has launched Permabond ET538 and Permabond ET514 for structural bonding applications.

Both products are two-component, room-temperature curing epoxy adhesives that offer good adhesion to a variety of surfaces such as ceramic, wood, metal, concrete and many plastic and composite materials.

ET538 is formulated with a long pot life, making it suitable for large applications and batch production processes.

ET514 has a quicker cure so is suitable for faster-moving production lines or where clamping for long periods is inconvenient.

Both products are ‘non slump’ and so are well suited for vertical applications or where there is a large gap to be filled.

They have a high level of rubber toughening and so perform well in applications that are subject to high stress, impact and vibration forces, as well as where thermal shock or chemical or environmental exposure could be an issue.

They are packaged in 1:1 mix ratio cartridges with mixing nozzles so there is no need to weigh or measure out resin and hardener and they can be easily applied with a dispensing gun.

For customers wishing to use automated dispensing equipment, ET538 and ET514 are also available packaged in bulk.
