Aimtec has expanded its surface-mount product offering with the addition of the AM2LV-NZ series of 2W SMD DC/DC converters.

With internal SMT construction, Aimtec’s AM2LV-NZ features an industry standard surface-mount pin configuration for easy integration into existing and new space-critical applications.

18 models offer wide (2:1) input ranges of 9~18VDC or 18~36VDC, step-down to tightly regulated (+/-0.5 per cent) single and dual output voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12 or 15VDC.

Other features of the AM2LV-NZ series includes input/output isolation of 1500VDC and continuous short-circuit protection with auto-recovery restart.

Operating at efficiencies as high as 80 per cent within an ambient temperature range of -40C to +71C at full load or up to +85C with derating, the AM2LV-NZ series requires no other external components for full performance.

This makes the converters ideally suited for telecommunications equipment, battery powered application, industrial control and automation systems, and board level power distribution subsystems.
