Altair Engineering has announced further details about the three technical seminars on offer over the course of the European Altair Technology Conference 2014, being held at the Dolce Munich Unterschleissheim in Munich, Germany, from 24–26 June 2014.

The 2014 conference seminars will cover topics around simulation-driven product development.

All seminars will have a high level of interaction, with attendees encouraged to discuss their own use cases with the Altair experts conducting the seminars.

All three technical seminars will take place on 24 June 2014 and are intended for interested engineers and engineering managers working in the respective development areas. 

While the attendance of the conference itself is free of charge, the seminars will be charged at a fee of €200 (£167) per person plus VAT.

Seminar 1: Altair Optistruct for non-linear analysis and optimisation

This workshop will explain the new options and functions in Optistruct 13.0 for a broad set of non-linear analysis, the theoretical background and how to use the new options most efficiently.

Seminar 2: predicting acoustic behaviour with Altair Hyperworks

This seminar will highlight the fundamentals of noise sources and the theoretical background of how to solve different phenomena.

  • Possibilities to optimise the noise and vibrations behaviour
  • How to select the most efficient method
  • Setting up real-world problems

Seminar 3: multi-disciplinary optimisation (MDO) — best practices and methods

This seminar will showcase a dedicated MDO setup tool (i.e. multi-model synchronisation, design variable and responses specification), different MDO processes (i.e. I-MDO and A-MDO), efficient optimisation strategies for large non-linear problems and efficient post-processing.
