Altair Engineering is set to host a technical session and roundtable discussion focused on additive layer manufacturing (ALM) — also known as 3D printing — at the sixth European Altair Conference in Turin, Italy, on 23 April 2013.

There will be a range of presentations on ALM, followed by a roundtable discussion that will address how to leverage the full potential of resource-friendly component design by applying simulation-driven design methods.

The discussion will also address the commercial aspects of ALM and further research and development in this area.
