Amplicon has introduced the Intel Core fourth-generation processor series, featuring high processing power, low power consumption, low thermal characteristics and rich I/O.

Amplicon Haswell models

The introduction of the Haswell architecture signals further advancements and capabilities from predecessors: lower power consumption, greater numbers of USB 3.0 and SATA III channels and iAMT revision 9. Haswell processors follow the Intel ‘tick tock’ format; in this case, Haswell brings in new microarchitecture on an already 22nm die.

The Impact-R and Ventrix offer excellent solutions for advanced industrial applications that require excellent display and processing power, all packaged in the Amplicon systems. Both the Impact-R and Ventrix use the latest Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 road-mapped processors, ensuring the longest lifecycle possible.

Amplicon Ventrix systems offer up to 16GB DDR3 or DDR3L with the ability to auto-detect, minimising configuration when changing over. With the Q87 chipset, the Ventrix system will support four SATA III channels with RAID, four USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 suiting all standard peripherals while still supporting legacy I/O such as serial communication, PS/2 and parallel ports. Using an additional breakout, the Ventrix can also support HDMI or DVI — removing the need for potentially expensive graphics cards.
