Instron has released the Bluehill 3 Testing Software, designed to evaluate the mechanical properties of materials and components for test technicians, quality engineers and laboratory managers.

This newest version of Instron’s Bluehill Software is compatible with all Instron 5500 and 5900 Series Testing Systems.

Bluehill 3 enables users to configure a test method that can be launched directly from the desktop and to start running tests without interacting with a keyboard or mouse.

Existing customers whose applications require user-defined calculations can utilise the Expression Builder feature.

The Expression Builder can be used in calculation domains and expressionable control fields, and for creating user-defined measurements.

For users with more than one load cell or more than one extensometer, Bluehill 3 can identify them and allow them to be linked with individual test methods to ensure that the correct load cell is used.

The help system in Bluehill software has been updated to include: user-assisted text providing immediate assistance on every method page; navigation assistance for method development and editing; calculation animations; and examples of commonly performed procedures that are included in the reference help.

Users can also utilise the Bluehill 3 User Community Blog to search for training tips and frequently asked questions or to post questions to the product manager.
