Bosch Rexroth, a supplier of technologies to the marine and offshore sector, revealed a host of applications at this year’s SPE Offshore Europe exhibition and conference.

At the event — which took place in Aberdeen on 3–6 September — the company showcased a fully operational active heave compensation system, new hydraulic cylinders featuring Enduroq surface technology and a working Hägglunds CB motor.

Attendees also had the chance to find out more about Bosch Rexroth’s Enduroq surface technology, which is claimed to offer optimum protection against harsh environmental conditions and therefore extends the uptime of cylinders and decreases lifecycle costs.

The new Hägglunds CB hydraulic motor is claimed to pack 50 per cent more torque into a motor that is smaller and up to 50 per cent lighter than its predecessor, giving it a high torque-to-weight ratio.
