Lee Products has added a range of boss-mount strainers — designed to provide effective, coarse level filtration in a compact, low-profile yet robust design — to its line of safety screens.

Boss-mount strainers

The boss-mount strainers are suitable for lubrication systems or for applications such as large fuel pumps in air-to-air refuelling systems that need a coarse inlet screen to filter out unwanted containments and debris, without the risk of pressure drop.

Manufactured from 304L stainless steel, the strainers are available in six thread sizes ranging from 0.750in to 1.875in.

Key features and benefits

  • They feature a corrugated screen design, which ensures a maximum open area for increased debris holding capacity and a single-piece element that can withstand differential pressures up to 500psid without rupture.
  • With an integral tool slot, the strainers can be easily installed and removed for inspection.
  • Standard screen hole sizes include 0.038in and 0.062in, making the strainers ideal for lubrication systems, such as inlet screens for gearbox lubrication pumps or any type of system requiring effective and reliable coarse filtration.
