The Chemical Business Association (CBA) has made available a range of services designed to support chemical companies in developing and maintaining compliance levels.

In the difficult economic climate, important training and planning may be hard to justify.

The CBA has developed a series of cost-effective modules that will enable companies to continue to develop their organisations over the coming months.

The CBA has already been approached both by members and non-members for provision of these and other services on a consultancy basis.

A number of projects ranging from Chemicals Handling to the Legal Aspects of Carriage of Dangerous Goods (CDG) Regulations have already been completed.

Initially the CBA is offering four key services on a consultancy basis: environmental appraisals; dangerous goods safety adviser services; emergency response plans and audit; and safe handling of chemicals.

The CBA will provide a compliance appraisal, relevant training and an action plan for each company.

CBA services can be delivered to groups of employees, thereby increasing the benefit of the training exercise.

CBA’s consultancy is delivered on site, may be tailored to the particular business and is available to any supply chain company, including manufacturers, blenders, warehouses, sales offices, distributors and logistics companies.
