CGTech will present Version 7.1 of its Vericut CNC machine simulation software on Stand 1,647 at the Midlands Design and Engineering Show at the NEC in Birmingham on 6-7 April 2011.

Vericut is a CNC machine simulation, verification and optimisation software product that enables users to eliminate the process of manually proving out NC programs.

It is designed to reduce scrap loss and rework.

The program also optimises NC programs in order to save time and produce a higher-quality surface finish.

Vericut simulates all types of CNC machine tools, including those from manufacturers such as Mori Seiki, Mazak, Makino, Matsuura, Hermle, DMG and Chiron.

It runs as a standalone program but can also be integrated with CAM systems such as Catia V5, Siemens NX, Pro/E, Mastercam, Edgecam, Open Mind Hypermill and Delcam Powermill.

Vericut 7.1 offers the ability to record and display cutting conditions, multiple turning orientations and speciality cutting methods and improvements to simulating complex subroutines and advanced CNC control features.

There has also been an emphasis placed on simplifying the creation of Vericut reports, according to the company.

With the new Vericut report enhancements, users can preview and customise their own reports to include features such as pictures, videos and links to files and web pages.

These reports have become increasingly useful for Vericut users to share CNC machining process information throughout their organisations and supply chains.

A new feature in Version 7.1 is the Vericut reviewer, which enables a recorded animation file of the machining process to be played on any PC without requiring a Vericut licence to be present.

In addition to playing the animation, the user can utilise analysis features to examine the cut model and to zoom and pan around the display.

CGTech is the developer of Vericut CNC machine simulation, verification and optimisation software. Vericut protects CNC machine tools against potentially disastrous collisions by providing a virtual machining environment for program simulation and testing of post processed CNC code. Vericut is used extensively to increase the efficiency of complex five-axis machining centres and Mill/Turn machines.

Vericut is a standalone product but can also be integrated with all leading CAD/CAM/PLM systems including Catia, Siemens NX, PTC, Delcam Powermill. EdgeCAM, MasterCAM and Open Mind Hypermill.

CGTech has recently released new programming and simulation software products for the rapidly growing CNC composites automated fibre placement market.

CGTech is the recognised world leader in CNC simulation and verification software. Based in Irvine California CGTech have subsidiaries in UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, China and resellers throughout the world.
