CGTech will demonstrate the 2010 Vericut Virtual Machining Gallery at this year’s Aero Engineering event, which is scheduled to be held at the NEC in Birmingham on 29-30 September.

According to the company, which will be found on Stand 400, the Vericut CNC simulation software and gallery features all types of CNC machine tools, including complex multi-axis machines from manufacturers including DMG, Mori Seiki, Mazak, Makino, Starrag Heckert and Matsuura.

The gallery also features examples of integration with CAM systems used in aerospace companies such as Catia V5, Siemens NX, Pro/E, MasterCAM, Delcam Powermill and Open Mind Hypermill.

In addition, the gallery includes examples of multi-axis aerospace applications including blade machining, large airframe components and aero engine components.

As well as traditional machining applications, the gallery also includes examples of simulation projects in the aerospace sector involving parallel kinematic machines, robots, waterjet cutting, composite drilling and trimming and riveting and fastening.

Visitors to the CGTech stand will be offered the Vericut Virtual Machining Gallery as a CD and the gallery can also be viewed online.

The company will also demonstrate Vericut Composite Applications – machine-independent offline programming and simulation software solutions for automated fibre placement (AFP) CNC machines.

AFP technology is being driven by the increasing use of composites in the next generation of fuel-efficient aircraft.

CGTech is the developer of Vericut CNC machine simulation, verification and optimisation software. Vericut protects CNC machine tools against potentially disastrous collisions by providing a virtual machining environment for program simulation and testing of post processed CNC code. Vericut is used extensively to increase the efficiency of complex five-axis machining centres and Mill/Turn machines.

Vericut is a standalone product but can also be integrated with all leading CAD/CAM/PLM systems including Catia, Siemens NX, PTC, Delcam Powermill. EdgeCAM, MasterCAM and Open Mind Hypermill.

CGTech has recently released new programming and simulation software products for the rapidly growing CNC composites automated fibre placement market.

CGTech is the recognised world leader in CNC simulation and verification software. Based in Irvine California CGTech have subsidiaries in UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, China and resellers throughout the world.
