Commagility has launched the AMC-V5F-10G, a high-performance FPGA-based interface and processing card for wireless baseband and other processing and optical data interfacing applications.

For systems that require high-speed optical links, a front-panel SFP+ interface provides a fast data link, including Ethernet at 10Gbps and 16x CPRI (running at 9.8304Gbps).

As well as high-end data networking applications, this enables advanced wireless applications such as multi-rate LTE to exchange data at four times the normal CPRI maximum rate.

A full Gigabit Ethernet infrastructure allows for system expansion, and additional optical data interfacing is enabled by dual SFP interfaces from the FPGA.

High-bandwidth connection to other AMC modules is provided by optional Serial RapidIO (SRIO) or PCI Express links from the FPGA to the AMC backplane.

The AMC-V5F-10G is a single-width, full-size Advanced Mezzanine Card.

High processing power is delivered by a Xilinx Virtex-5 LX110T FPGA.

This configures and boots from Flash on reset, using one of four selectable configuration images, which are customer programmable and can be updated over Ethernet.

The FPGA is fully customer configurable, according to Commagility.
