Altair Engineering has revealed which companies will present keynote addresses at the eighth Altair Technology Conference, which is set to take place on 10 September 2013 at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

The keynote speakers — which include Deyan Sudjic, director of the Design Museum in London, and John Roberts, A380 chief engineer at Airbus Operations — will discuss the current business challenges facing UK industry today, show their vision for the future of engineering and demonstrate the development of innovation in their industries.

The event has also attracted technical speakers from Airbus, BAE Systems, EADS, Gestamp, Jaguar Land Rover, Plaxton, SSTL and Supacat.

The biennial conference will bring together companies that have benefited by integrating Hyperworks, Altair’s computer-aided engineering (CAE) technology, into their design processes. They will demonstrate how UK companies are using virtual design and simulation to develop a competitive edge, successfully meeting engineering and business challenges in the current market environment.

Topics to be covered in the technical sessions

  • Solver technologies for accurate analysis
  • Structural optimisation for optimum product performance
  • Enterprise process management
  • Methods for designing with composite materials
