Contralube has introduced a synthetic grease as a solution to vibration corrosion, oxidation, intermittent circuitry faults/gremlin problems, water penetration and general weatherproofing issues.

Contralube770 is recommended for use with multi-pin connectors, spades, bullets and any other type of push-fit electro-mechanical contact area.

This grease was created to help engineers that use electronic and electrical equipment exposed to the weather and/or circuit connections used alongside machinery, engines and any other equipment that vibrates.

Peter Wilks, the company’s head of sales and marketing, said: ‘Contralube770 was originally designed for the automotive industry as it constantly battles with vibration corrosion and water ingress problems in its connectors and circuitry.’ With Contralube770, users can load up their electrical and non-electrical connectors and the grease will not interfere with the current flow and, in the case of non-electrical connection, it will not harm or weaken the analogue or digital signal that is going through the connection.

The product is compatible with all noble and non-noble metals and most plastics.

Wilks added: ‘An application of Contralube770 is ideal as a preventative maintenance solution – stop these problems before they occur and it causes less headaches and equipment downtime.

‘Contralube770 is a more permanent solution than the smelly general-purpose spray lubricants that are on the market,’ he said.
