Cranfield has introduced a course designed to provide an understanding of the processes, skills and behaviours needed to create and manage competitive manufacturing operations.

The MSc in Engineering and Management of Manufacturing Systems focuses on industrially relevant projects, team working and transferable skills.

This course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).

It comprises eight assessed modules, a group project and an individual research project.

Assessed modules comprise: Modules Enterprise Systems; General Management; Manufacturing Strategy; Manufacturing Systems Engineering; Management of Technology and Innovation; Operations Analysis; Operations Management; and Supply Chain Management.

The Engineering and Management of Manufacturing Systems course is also available as a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) and Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert).

PgDip students are expected to complete eight modules and a group project.

PgCert students are expected to complete six modules.
