Following a trial period, Singleton’s Dairy recently bought a Hitachi coder from Euromark Coding and Marking to date code sliced packs of cheese.

The cheese producer’s existing coding and marking machine had begun to falter and it took the Hitachi PXR-H450 coder on trial.

It was used to date code sliced packs of cheese at up to 60 packs per minute.

Following the successful trial, the company bought the coder and is also considering placing a second order following a recent expansion.

The Hitachi’s flexibility allows for quick and easy changeover, so products can be interchanged when required with minimal interruption.

Singleton’s Dairy selected the Hitachi for its reliability, versatility and print quality as the coding had to be of exceptional clarity to meet the standards expected from leading retail brands.

Seamless production processes are vital for dairy manufacturers to ensure that there is minimal waste and that products are kept at their optimum storage temperatures.
