The FLIR T-Series professional thermal imaging cameras are for use in a multitude of industrial and building diagnostic applications and, for a limited period, customers ordering a FLIR T-Series camera will also receive additional FLIR products free of charge up to the value of £6,703.

The FLIR T-Series are high-definition hand-held instruments that have image clarity and a highly responsible user interface. All feature FLIR’s swivelling head, which makes them very easy to use in all environments. Top of the range is the FLIR T1K with a 1024 x 768-pixel uncooled detector that offers twice the sensitivity of industry standard uncooled sensors. This performance is complemented by other resolution enhancing features and FLIR’s OS X HDIR optics.

Until 31 December 2016, customers ordering a FLIR T4xx standard or building science model will also receive free the FLIR Tools analysis and reporting software suite and a FLIR C2, a fully featured, pocket-sized thermal imaging camera. Moving up the range to the FLIR T6xx models, a wide-angle 45°lens or a 15°lens is added to the package. And with the top-of-the-range FLIR T1K, customers also benefit from an extra year on product warranty.

As standard, all camera models are covered by FLIR’s warranty of two years on the product itself and 10 years on the detector.

Until the end of the year, anyone wishing to trade in their old model camera – whatever the brand – against a new FLIR T-Series model, qualifies for a discount. On a FLIR T4xx or T4bx this equates to 15 per cent and on a FLIR T6xx or T6bx, it’s 20 per cent.

An important milestone in the development of thermal imaging has been the introduction of the FLIR Lepton® core, a micro longwave detector, the size of a mobile SIM.  This has allowed thermal imaging to be repackaged to meet the needs of an even wider audience and, in combination with another new technology called Infrared Guided Measurement – IGM™ – has led to the development of a range of test and measurement meters with imaging capability.

Another important growth area for FLIR thermal imaging is in continuous monitoring to assure quality and safety.  Through its introduction of discrete fixed mounted thermal cameras which are fully compliant industry standard plug-and-play protocols, FLIR Systems has provided industry with infrared machine vision which is instantly ready for quick and easy network installation.

Protecting assets and people from fire is an area for which thermal imaging is least known but, thanks to FLIR Systems’ development, it is now one of the most cost-effective methods available.  Its application flexibility and rapid return on investment present an attractive proposition for any site or safety manager.
