Devlin has added the KSM-096 to its range of stainless-steel kiosk keyboards, offering further layout flexibility.

The KSM-096 is designed to fit into the middle of the Devlin range, which already contains full-size and reduced-layout kiosk keyboards.

It features a compact layout, although, according to the company, this is achieved without removing the separate number pad or function keys.

The compact design means that the KSM-096 has a footprint of 420mm x 165mm, making it suitable for use in confined spaces.

The KSM-096 is around 20mm longer and wider than the Devlin reduced-layout KSM and KSR-067 kiosk keyboards.

This new kiosk keyboard is intended to fill a gap in the market for kiosk users who require the function keys and a separate number pad but who must work within strict space confinements.

The KSM-096 features high-quality vandal protection to survive severe misuse.

The keyboard is sealed to IP65 and is, therefore, protected against the ingress of water and dust.

Both the keyboard keys and the trackball feature over-travel protection, meaning that, under impact, they will not collide and damage the electronics below.

Given proper use, the keys are designed to last for up to three million individual operations.

The keyboard comes with USB connectivity as standard and a choice of 27 standard languages.

The keys are laser marked at their UK manufacturing headquarters by Devlin so they are able to accommodate most custom requests.
